Yesterday, Saturday Sept. 30, 2017, I was privileged to photograph the "Friends of the Poor Walk/Run" in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The "Friends of the Poor Walk/Run" is coordinated by the National Council SVdP (Society of St. Vincent de Paul) and is an event that occurs nationwide, annually. The purpose of this event is to support the local conference projects who support those in need.
Although this event occurs annually, this is the first year the event took place here in Port St. Lucie, Florida with the St. Lucie parish. There were approximately 30 people who joined the event this year on the walk. The event took place at noon.
It was exciting for me to join in on this event and I plan on attending many more events in the future. Here are some of my photos from this event.
